Here is a batch of gold that will be up for sale soon. These nuggets (123 of them pictured below) total 55.5 Dwts, or 2.5 ounces of nugget gold. All these nuggets were personally found by myself exploring some old ancient benches well above the modern day stream channel. All nuggets were picked up within about a three month period hunting and exploring on the weekends.
I know there are several thousands of them left in this area, but they are scattered in small patches over larger areas. Would take someone a lifetime or longer to cover this ground.
I have yet to pull a nugget over an ounce from these benches, but have heard of nuggets that size being found there before.
