My name's Jason Kincade and I live in Northern California...(Plumas County). I've been interested in prospecting for gold since I was a little kid and finely got around to dipping my pan in the water for the first time in the late '70s...been at it ever since. I don't get out in the field as often as I would like, but as often as I can.
I've had a load of good times camping and prospecting and I like to write about those days on my blog slapsem, as well as publish free information and how=tos for beginners (other, off topic stuff too). When my schedule and circumstances permit I like to prospect Northern Nevada in the spring and fall, the Mojave Desert in the winter, and the Sierras, my home turf, as often as I can. My mining buddy,Yubalee, a Shar-pei mix, has been tagging along since she was a pup...eleven years ago.
